بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

Unnoticed perception

I can not be what you perceive me to be.
Be that the shining rays of the splendid sun;
The drop of rain which brings forth life;
The startling flowers which adorn the gardens;
The singing nightingale with its enchanting melody;
Nor the beauty of the phoenix hypnotising lovers gaze.

I can only be the dust on which you walk upon…
…and go unnoticed until the ground and I become one.

    Mashallah, this is very deep.

    The last 2 lines are the best, somehow I interpret it as that we can go through our entire lives as if we are the dust upon the earth, people just walk by, never taking any notice except for the chosen ones.

    And then when we are united with the earth in death, only then does a gravestone mark us and make up noticed, or only then does our absence from alam al-shahaada become the reason for being noticed truly for the first time...

    a beautiful poem

    Hey thank you for the comment, i think your commentary is far better than the poem itself.
