بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

Conversation with Ostaad ilahi

One day I was in deep thought, when I suddenly found myself in some far away land that I had never seen before.
I looked around and saw a man standing next to me.“why do you look so troubled?” he gently asked.
“I have a great deal on my mind,” I said.
“perhaps I can help?” he said
“I have been searching for the truth, yet I cant see to find it anywhere”
“The truth is like a mirror” he said “Delve within it for therein lies the key to all who seek.
“But how can I delve within? I asked
“Put aside all your preconceptions and purify your intention; the truth will then reflect itself in your heart”
“How will I know when the truth has illuminated my heart?” I asked.
“When you consider all the saints and prophets as legitimate and no longer differentiate between religions, you have arrived at the stage of truth.”
“What do you mean ‘the stage of truth’? I asked.
Understanding why we have been bought into existence, what we must accomplish here, and where our ultimate destination lies”
“sometimes I wonder what im supposed to be doing in this world?
“we must perform our duties, benefit others and strive to become a true human being” he said.
“A true human being?” I asked
“One who distinguishes himself by his compassion, generosity and good will” he said. One who rejoices in the happiness of others and shares in their sorrows, one who always seeks to learn from others”
“How can I become a true human being,” I asked
“Always do unto others as you would have done unto you, and do not do to others what you would not want them to do to you.” He said
“It sounds so simple” I asked
“But difficult in practice” he replied
“Sometimes my life seems like a roller coaster ride” I said “and I wonder if I will ever find true happiness.”
“True happiness” he said “is to possess the means of ensuring ones spiritual destiny on the path of truth.”
“What is our spiritual destiny” I asked“To return to where we come from” he said “only wiser and kinder.”
I thought for a few moments and said “How is it that you know all this?”
He smiled “through a life time of research and personal experience” he said.
“Thank you I feel much better now” I said“But I may have more questions in the future. Will I be able to see you again?” I asked
He smiled and gently put his hand on my shoulder; “You can always find me here, anytime you like”

The end.
